Today's tip is dry shampoo. Dry Shampoo works great for camping trips or a night out dancing, Both of which make you sweat and usually you can't shower it off in either condition. Dry shampoo eliminates the grease and also has an added benefit of adding volume to your hair.
Another side tip that dry shampoo can help with is postponing washing your hair for another day. This may sound weird but the truth is most people wash their hair more than they should which dries out the hair and causes damage and split ends. If you have straight hair then you should probably wash your hair every other day. If you hair is wavy you should wash your hair every 3 to 5 days. If you have spirally hair then you should only wash it about once a month. If you're washing it sooner because it is greasy then use the dry shampoo until you actually need to wash it. Your pores may be creating more grease than usual because it is getting dried out by washing it too much.
You can either get dry shampoo in powder form or spray form. I personally prefer the powder form but you really need to be careful to not but too much on otherwise it can look like dandruff. To apply the powder shampoo, most bottles should be placed on their side above your hair and then tap on the bottom a couple of times to get just a little out and then rub it into the hair. The spray kind would require you to lift up your hair and spray a little bit at the root.
My personal favorite dry shampoo is Alterna. If you would rather use the spray kind, I would suggest Pureology. If you have any questions then please feel free to contact me by clicking here.
