For awhile now I have been talking about getting into makeup as well. I
believe I have shared enough on hair to be able to start expanding to makeup.
A huge part of makeup is knowing your face shape. I personally have a
difficult time deciphering face shapes. Sometimes a face can have a bit of two
different face shapes. In the end, you know your face best and go with your
gut. If you still have no idea, then ask a friend.
Once you know your face shape then it’s time to get started. Find a
good base makeup, the best way to find your shade is to get your make-up done complimentary
of Sephora. They will give you a good match and you can either buy it from them
or you can grab your match from Sephora and buy it from Walgreens. I personally
buy mine from Mary Kay because it’s a goof price and lasts longer than any
other base makeup that I have tried. It’s also in a container that I can cut
open towards the end and get every last drop. Other places like to put it into
glass containers which can be wasteful.
Now to the contouring. This can be a little confusing, but it all comes
down to making your face look more oval. Oval is currently the face to have. If
that fails then simply resort to bringing out the features that you like and
diminish the features you don’t like. Below is a photo that you can follow. The
X’s are where you shade and the scribbled areas or the lines are where you lighten up.
Place lines in these areas and just lightly blend in until you get the desired look. I hope you found
this helpful!
